In this 5 Week, beginners jewelry making class at Harold Studio in Phoenix, you will become a proficient silversmith in 5 weeks!

SYLLABUS

Each week, you will build on the skills you learned the week before and practice a new jewelry making skill with a different project. With 15 hours of instruction, we will be making three main projects and we will teach you multiple skills while you make each of the projects. You will be working primarily with silver.

Week 1 & 2: 

• Frame ring
• Solder overlay
• Ring sizing and soldering
• Patinas

Week  3 & 4:

• Cabochon Ring
• Ring making
• Intensive soldering
• Bezel setting
• Finishing
  

Week 5: 

Choose between a guided independent project or:

• Textured earrings
  • Textures
  • Sawing and piercing
  • Drilling
  • French ear wires
  • Finishing

REQUIREMENTS

• No experience necessary.

• Please have supplies purchased by the first day of class or plan on purchasing them from the studio the first day of class.
• We will have supply kits available that you can purchase the first day of class for $120 as well as your cabochon (which is a separate cost).

MISSED CLASS POLICY

If you miss a week, you can forgo your final project the last week and make up the lesson then. Due to the complex processes taught in this 5 week class, if you miss more than one week you will be removed from the class and have to sign up for a new one without credit.
